Privacy & Tracking — Humans & Robots

Privacy & tracking

How we use tracking and advertising on this site.

A plain-language summary of what gets collected when you visit humansnrobots.com, why, and how to control it.

What we use, and why.

Humans & Robots uses the Meta Pixel on our website to understand how visitors interact with our pages, measure the effectiveness of our marketing, and improve future advertising. The Meta Pixel may collect information such as pages visited, actions taken on the site, browser and device information, and other usage data.

Meta may use this information to provide measurement, analytics, and advertising services, including helping us understand whether someone who saw or clicked an ad later visited our website. Meta may also use this information according to its own privacy policies.

We also use the Google tag (gtag.js) for Google Ads conversion tracking and measurement. This helps us understand which visits and actions on humansnrobots.com followed a click on one of our Google ads, and how our advertising is performing overall. The Google tag may collect information such as pages visited, referring source, browser and device information, and other usage data. Google may process this information to provide measurement, analytics, and advertising services according to its own policies.

Controlling how your data is used.

You can control how Meta uses data for advertising through your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences. You can manage how Google personalizes ads to you through your Google account's ad settings. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies on a per-site basis.

If you'd rather not be tracked by the Meta Pixel or the Google tag at all, blocking third-party cookies or using a tracker-blocking browser extension will prevent them from loading.

Beyond the Meta Pixel and Google tag.

We also use a lightweight visitor analytics tool to understand traffic patterns at a high level (which pages get visited, where visitors came from). We do not sell visitor data, and we do not share it outside of the providers we use to operate the site and our marketing.

If something here isn't clear.

This page is a general privacy notice, not legal advice. If you have questions about what's collected, how it's used, or how to opt out, email ben@humansnrobots.com and we'll get back to you.
